Enable MCP on agents
Link an MCP integration to an agent and choose which account the agent should use.
After you connect an MCP account, enable the integration on the agent that needs it. This second step is important: connected MCP accounts are not automatically available to every agent.
Enable an MCP integration
Open the agent
Go to Agents, open the agent, then click Configure.
Open Tools
Select Tools on the configuration map.
Find MCP Integrations
In the Tools panel, find MCP Integrations.
Enable MCP integrations from the agent Tools panel and choose the connection when needed. Connect or choose connection
If the server is not connected, follow the prompt to connect it. If it is connected, choose the connection the agent should use.
Enable and finish
Turn on the integration for the agent, then click Done.
Test the MCP tool
Return to Build and send a prompt that should use the MCP integration. Test both:
- A request that should use the MCP tool
- A request that should not use the MCP tool
If the agent overuses the MCP tool, tighten its instructions. If it never uses the tool, confirm it is enabled and the connection is selected.
Common issues

| MCP server is not listed | Ask a SuperAdmin to enable the MCP server for the workspace |
| Wrong account is used | Change the selected connection in Configure → Tools → MCP Integrations |
| User cannot use a shared agent's MCP tool | That user may need their own MCP connection |
Governance tips
- Give shared agents only the MCP servers they need.
- Use instructions that say when the agent should use the tool.
- Avoid enabling broad external tools on agents shared outside the team.
- Test with a non-owner user before relying on the agent in a process.
