Connect an app account
Add an OAuth or credential-based app connection for workflows and agents.
Use this guide when a workflow step, agent tool, or template asks for an app connection. You connect from the Apps page, then select that connection where the workflow or agent needs it.
Connect your account
Open Apps
Go to Apps under Connect.
Find the app
Use Search apps... or browse Connect Your Accounts. Apps show whether they are already connected or ready to connect.
Search for the app, then open its connection list from the app card. Open Your Connections
Click the app. Automate opens Your Connections for that app.
Add a new connection
Click Add New Connection.
Name the connection
Fill Connection Name. Choose a name that tells teammates what account this is, such as
Marketing HubSpotorSupport Gmail.Create and authorise
Click Create. For OAuth apps, a sign-in or authorisation window opens. Complete the external sign-in, then return to Automate.
Name the connection clearly before OAuth apps open their authorisation window. Done
When Automate shows the connection was created, click Done.
Use the connection
After you connect the app:
| Place | What to do |
|---|---|
| Workflow step | Open the node and select the app connection in Connection |
| Agent tool | Open the agent, go to Configure → Tools, and choose the relevant account if the tool asks |
| Imported workflow | Open each warning node and select or create a connection |
Rename and disconnect
Open the app's Your Connections list to manage existing personal connections. If you delete or disconnect an account, workflows and agents that used it can fail until they are updated.
Empty app list
If the Apps page shows No Apps Available, your workspace may not have app access configured. Ask an administrator to enable apps or grant access.
